This two-session small group is for those who’ve just discovered Unitarian Universalism and those who want to rediscover what it is about Unitarian Universalism that draws you here to Horizon. We especially encourage participation by newer members and visitors who are considering joining our congregation. The group is open to all who want to build or refresh their knowledge of UU history and experience being part of a UU small group.
During the first session of this small group participants will explore their individual spiritual journeys and the historical journey of Unitarian Universalism and our congregation. And in the second session we will turn to “our shared journey.” For UUs, that shared journey is made up of three basic spiritual practices: The practice of listening... to our deepest self, The practice of opening... to life’s gifts and “otherness”, and the practice of serving... needs greater than our own. These sessions will give participants a better understanding of Unitarian Universalism and a way to seek further engagement in spiritual growth and service opportunities at Horizon.
Light lunch will be provided. Please register so that we know how many materials and how much food to prepare. Childcare is available to those who register in advance.
