On Saturday, November 16 at 9:00 AM join The Walk Home: Step Up for Denton County! This fun, family-friendly event at LLELA welcomes all ages and fitness levels, with scenic trails that make it easy for everyone to participate. This is a chance to make a real difference for those experiencing housing instability! All funds raised go to the Denton County Homeless Coalition’s client support fund. From 8:00-9:00 AM there are shuttles to LLELA from Old Town Station Parking Lot. At 9:00 AM the walk begins.From 10:00-11:00 AM there are return shuttles to the parking lot. Let’s raise $350+ and have 10+ Horizon members and friends walk together as a team.

We can have a post event tailgate party or walk up to Main Street Café for brunch. Email justice@horizonuu.org if you’d like to hangout together after the event to socialize and discuss ways for us to support the Homeless Coalition.

Horizon hopes to raise an average of $35+ per Horizon participant but we will have some folks who give less and some who give more as they are willing or able. You only need to register with Horizon. We will register the team as a group. After November 13 please register directly on the DHC Event Site.
