Film Screening and Presentation "Reproductive Freedom is Religious Freedom"

The U.S. Supreme Court's decision overturning Roe v. Wade sparked a national response. The short award-winning documentary "Under G-d" highlights efforts to challenge abortion bans on the grounds of religious freedom to protect women--and democracy--by preserving the constitutionally enshrined separation of church and state.

The film screening will be followed by the  presentation "Reproductive Freedom is Religious Freedom". The specific issues and harms in Texas from the abortion laws produced with lack of separation between church and state will be highlighted.  Laws resulting in legal restrictions derived from one religious viewpoint. Dave Troiano will present additional information on this subject that is especially relevant to Texas citizens and end with an open discussion.
