With resources provided by the Texas Freedom Network, we will be joining in on their #TeachtheTruth campaign fighting for real sex ed in our Texas public schools. For the first time since 1997, the Texas State Board of Education is revising statewide health curriculum standards, including standards on sex education. This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to change course in Texas and adopt standards dealing with sex education that are medically accurate, comprehensive and inclusive.
At this virtual party, you’ll get to connect with other folks who also want to make a difference for young Texans. We’ll take an in-depth look at the current state of sex education in Texas before writing letters to our State Board of Education members.
